High School Graduation Requirements

WorldWide IDEA is an accredited school. For students to be eligible to receive a WorldWide IDEA accredited diploma, they must meet the graduation requirements. All seniors must submit final grades and supporting documents to their Contact Teacher by May 15 of their graduation year.

The minimum amount of credits required for a WorldWide IDEA accredited diploma is 21. After graduating high school, if a student plans to attend a college or university, then we suggest that student complete the Distinguished Achievement Program, which provides a more complete college prep education. The DoDEA Graduation Requirements are listed for your convenience. Students of military families that may transfer into a DoDEA-funded school in the future, or plan to have their student obtain a DoDDS diploma, will need to meet the 26 credit requirements.

All students graduating must successfully complete one of the following

Transfer Students — Transfer students must still earn at least 21 credits in the required subject areas to graduate. However, if a student in the 12th grade transfers from another school, then s/he may, at program's discretion, be excused from credit requirements for specific subject areas. Each transfer transcript is reviewed by student records personnel at the time of enrollment.
